Once you have opened the initial FABcat welcome screen in your browser (http://fabcat), you will be prompted to enter your username and password. (See below).

 

To obtain a username and password you must register with Acco UK via email at: fabcatsupport@acco-uk.co.uk.

Once Acco UK has provided you with a username and password, you will need to enter them in the fields provided on FABcat's home page.Then click the 'Log in' button to enter FABcat. (See above).

 

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that are created by a website to hold information about the user accessing the site. For example the cookies that FABcat creates are used to hold the account code of the customer. This information is then used to perform searches on the FABcat database using the 'search by your code' option.

 

Why does FABcat use cookies?

To ensure that the FABcat system is fully secure, cookies are used to store details of your user profile whilst you are logged into the system. When you close your browser window these cookies are delete.

 

How do I ensure that cookies are enabled on my PC?
Only applys to IE4 or previous

To ensure that cookies are enabled on your PC follow the instructions below:

1. Open your web browser and select Tools.

2. From the Tools drop down menu select Internet Options...

3. The Internet options popup window will now display. Select the 'advanced' tab (top right).

4. Scroll down the list and ensure that under 'Enable cookies', the 'always' option is ticked.

For help on checking that cookies are enabled in later versions of Internet Explorer or Netscape, please contact your local IT department.
